A new year, a new KPOP Update! She's a cat burglar!

Ohhhh hey!

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year celebration, and what better way to start off the new year than with a new KPOP Update?

SNSD, aka, Girls' Generation just released their new single/music video, and I LOVE the video.  Over 2 million views and it hasn't been out a full 24 hours yet? Inconceivable! The song, I haven't warmed up to as of yet, but the video?  If anyone ever asks, "What is KPOP like?" SHOW THEM THIS (or any Orange Caramel mv).  Yes, I know Psy has the most viewed video ever and it is a KPOP song, but his video is a wonderful exception, and does not relate to other videos.

There is SO MUCH COLOR in this video-all the way down to their colored contacts.  How do I know they are colored contacts you ask?  These girls are Asian. That gene pool is 99.9% doody brown eyes, just like yours truly.

Ok, let me describe what the lyrics say, so you can understand the video a bit better....

Some girl just took their man (for some reason they all date the same guy and don't know it, or do and it's just creepy), and they get all ghetto aggressive saying things like: "does she have new makeup?"  "did she dress that way because of HIM?" (ghetto aggressive is different in Korea vs USA, by the way)

Then all of a sudden, they get a new boyfriend, and are TOTES excited about it.  I use the word "totes," because I'm assuming that is the English equivalent of the Korean "cheong mal," meaning "really."

But oh no, they think he is cheating on them again, and decide to all dress up in weird orange haired wigs with massive amounts of bangs.

Finally, they realize their guy is still handsome, and are happy about dating him. Hooray!

Here's the link to the video, you don't want to miss out on this one: (over 2 million views and it just got released today? inconceivable!)

Everyone stay happy and healthy this year!

ps - I put "she's a cat burglar" in the subject line because, at first, I thought that was what the first line after "ayo GG" was.  Turns out, it is something in Korean instead...

pps-
